Village Hall

Our village hall was originally built in 1922 by the Grant Meek’s family and Lord of the Manor of Manningford Bruce.

The hall was replaced in 2001 by a completely new building with funds raised by the Parish Council and the Lotteries Grant and is available for private hire as well as hosting a number of village events each year.

With a capacity for 100 standing guests or 56 seated it is a suitable size for most occasions.

Facilities include:

Entrance Lobby with double doors.

Large main hall with lots of natural light from windows on three sides fitted with blinds and pretty contemporary curtains, wooden floor, ceiling and acoustic panels Fully fitted kitchen with a modern cooker, dishwasher, fridge freezer and microwave.

Plentiful matching crockery and cutlery

Disabled Access and toilet

3 Further ladies toilets and a gents

Tables with modern wipe clean table cloths and Chairs

Outside Ample Parking and adjacent playing field with children’s play equipment.

Private Hire Rates, which includes heating and lighting:

One off bookings £10.00 per hour.

Regular Bookings £7.50 per hour.

Conditions of Hire:

  1. Payment in advance
  2. No change to the fabric of the hall
  3. The hall to be left clean and tidy with chairs and tables returned to storage area and floors swept and washed as appropriate
  4. Please observe fire exits and extinguishers
  5. No Smoking
  6. Observe all licence and booking restrictions (for full details contact Andrew Marshall 01672 569077)
  7. All lights and water heaters to be turned off and key returned to the Hirer
  8. All damage beyond fair wear and tear to be paid for in full and for the repair to be carried out professionally
  9. Ensure that no nuisance is caused to local residents by any actions
  10. To remove all rubbish from site

To ensure that during the hire period, a responsible individual aged 25 years or over is present and officially in charge

The Village Hall is run as a charity on behalf of all the villagers and a board of trustees made up of local people ensures its correct conduct through the Charities Commission.

Day to day the Village Hall Committee look after everything and meet regularly to plan the years events. New committee members are always welcome and or those just wishing to help out occasionally or with a special interest or talent they would like to share.

Pub Night 24th Feb @ 7pm

Great British Spring Clean 3rd – 5th March

Organised by Keep Britain Tidy (3rd-5th March). Although we’re not formally organising anything, if you see any litter be it when dog walking or just enjoying our beautiful countryside, please can you pick it up and dispose of it at home.


BINGO 10th March 7pm
